Montgomery County police say they are working to build a homicide case against the mother of two Clarksburg children who have been missing for more than a week. Catherine Hoggle, 27, was arrested Friday night but in 15 hours of interviews has not told authorities where to find her 2-year-old son, Jacob, and 3-year-old daughter, Sarah.

A federal jury has convicted a D.C. man in an armored truck robbery and a violent carjacking in Montgomery County. Twenty-five-year-old Anthony Terrell Cannon was found guilty late Friday of robbery, carjacking, and firing a gun during a violent crime, among other charges.

Police say they believe two young children who've been missing in suburban Maryland for more than a week are dead, and they're pursuing a homicide case against their mother. Montgomery County police will continue to search parks and wooded areas in Clarksburg and Darnestown for 3-year-old Sarah Hoggle and 2-year-old Jacob Hoggle today, officials said during a morning news conference.

Some East Bethesda residents aren't happy with plans to build a "beautification" fence around a park building being rented out by a daycare company. Over the weekend, members of the East Bethesda Citizens Association sent out an action alert about Bethesda Reggio daycare's attempt to build the fence in front of the activity building at Lynbrook Park The daycare has gotten preliminary approval for the fence from Montgomery Parks' Development Division, but neighborhood residents say Reggio's lease doesn't allow it and fencing off part of the park would be an affront to the people who rely on the public land.
